At the beginning of the planning process, Keith made it a point to get to know us, and thus understand us as a couple and what type of music we he could curate for our wedding. And he did just that. “Keith was our wedding DJ at McGrath Ranch and Garden in April 2022 in Ventura. In 2018 Keith DJed my brothers wedding and he played phenomenal music that fit every aspect of the wedding. When my husband and I began planning our wedding, I knew we had to get Keith.
From the first meet and greet to the day of our wedding, Keith was so professional, helpful, outgoing, and willing to go above and beyond to make our wedding exactly how we imagined. Throughout our planning, Keith had extremely helpful suggestions from certain songs and music choices, additional lighting we could add to the dance floor/venue, and making sure our day-of timeline was realistic and smooth.
On the day of the wedding he was prompt when arriving to the venue and set up with plenty of time to do sound and mic checks. During the wedding he goes so far as to make sure our guests are comfortable, enjoying themselves, and participating in each aspect of the evening. He would touch base frequently with our wedding coordinator, make sure anyone giving a speech had time to prepare and get ready, and was always courteous to me and my husband when keeping us on track with the timeline of the evenings events. He made sure the dance party ended on time per the sound ordinance and was packed up before the venue's mandatory exit time.
My husband and I had a few songs we wanted played on the dance floor, but other than that I chose genres of music for Keith to play during the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. The majority of the music Keith chose and he absolutely killed it. Every song fit perfectly throughout the night and I couldn't be more thankful for his experience and expertise as a DJ. It was so nice to have complete confidence in Keith and not have another thing to think or worry about on our wedding day.

“DJ KEITH IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!! Choosing to hire him was by far one of the best decisions we made for our recent wedding. Keith chatted with us for over two hours during our first meeting and we truly felt like he was taking the time to understand not only our music tastes but who we are as couple. We had no reason to chat with anyone else after this, we knew we had a winner!
Keith's thorough worksheet really helped us organize the night. When we went to him with requests of including movie scores and 1940s wartime romance music he was more than happy to tailor things to fit our taste. He also gave some of his own ideas for special dances and ways to make the night more memorable, all of which worked out great.
When it came to the wedding day he showed up early with an assistant and executed all of the necessary set up expertly. Our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were all in different areas throughout at 23 acre property and not once was there an interruption or feedback from the mic or speakers. When we had let Keith know we were worried about the wind factor he said he had that covered and boy did he come through!
We were in great hands from Keith every step of the way. He kept our dance floor full and made sure to check off all our "must play" songs. He was a great "host" for the night without being overly talkative. Our only regret was that we didn't hire Keith for a few more hours as everyone wanted to keep the party going!! If you're looking for a DJ who will exceed all of your expectations, look no further. “We hired DJ Keith after attending our friends’ wedding and noticing how perfect he made their night. It ended up pouring after the dinner service and within minutes Keith had his tent up and continued the party. Ever since attending their wedding, I was hell-bent on having DJ Keith at mine.
My husband and I had an unconventional reception where we married in a private ceremony a few months prior and then had the full party in our backyard. Despite it not being the norm, Keith showed enthusiasm about the fact that we were doing our wedding on our terms. He stayed in touch with us from the moment we hired him to the day of the party and double checked what we wanted as far as timing, music, announcements etc. We had meetings via phone to ensure that Keith knew the vibe we wanted at our party and he delivered perfectly. I had full confidence in him and didn’t have a thing to worry about the day of our reception.
We had to stop the music a little earlier than we’d like due to noise ordinance hours in our city, but we turned on our bluetooth speaker afterwards and DJ Keith decided to hang out with the party for a little while after. We loved being able to have someone run our party in such a professional manner, but also have someone who had fun and wanted to be there. We even had friends who were recently engaged decide to use Keith as their DJ at their wedding as long as he was available when they picked their date. I couldn’t recommend DJ Keith more. “We had a super special wedding in San Luis Obispo, CA , April 14th , 2018 at the Madonna Inn. Keith did an outstanding job running sound in the ceremony , as well with the dinner, reception and dance party. Keith went above and beyond and was extremely conscious about keeping the event on track.
Keith is an expert and very professional at DJ'ing wedding celebrations and keeping the flow of the evening going. He understands the importance of this day to you, with his guidance he puts you at ease with the pending big day and helps you put together a nice music flow for your guests. Keith has a long song questionnaire that should be started sooner than later so you can add those songs you want to hear for certain moments in the night. Pre-event planning, we tried to find time to meet in person but opted for facetime meetings since we are in SF area and he is in LA, as well we had 2 extended phone calls gathering the details so the plan was all in place for the big day. Keith helps with suggestions and what may help make the evening go smoother, we took his advice and everything went smoothly with timing and flow. Not only does he setup all the sound and play all the music at the perfect times, he can help with announcements and introductions moving the wedding along. Here is how our event unfolded: Outdoor Ceremony - Outdoor cocktail hour - grand entry - indoor dinner reception - speeches - getting the party started post dinner - special mother son/ father daughter dances - intro the band - band - set break cake cutting and flower toss (pic attached) - dance party.
It was smiles all around for a memorable evening for our 130 guests. We had Keith booked at least 9 months in advance, and he is well worth the investment! He was professional with the contract, DJ Equipment up to par with great sound, and on time in all regards to the planning and day of the event.
